Wow cool. I look forward to your book. I have loved this image since I first saw it, and have always wanted to know how it was done. That's what lead me to my experimentation. I'm so stoked that it is from scratch and I can't wait to learn you secrets. Does the book have a name yet?

Did you draw this? I gotta tell you it looks like a b/w image printed on drawing paper, that was colorized with cp. My sincerest apologies if it's not, I just had similar results experimenting on my own and wanted to ask.
This is not cp over a b/w image. It is drawn from scratch. Although, I did use photo references for the composition. Later this year I will have a book puplished that explains exactly step-by-step how it is done. Thanks for looking.
