Register NowAs a marker artist for 48 years I have surprisingly used mainly only two different papers for my art. For almost 40 years I used my markers on Bainbridge illustration board #172 hot press. In a couple of days I will be uploading my signature pieces which were done on this board. Recently I switched to Borden & Riley's Paris #234 bleed-proof paper for pens and markers. I love it! I have all three pad sizes 8x11, 14x17 and my fav, 19x24. Blick gives you the best prices . Draw every day!

Ideas for Sketch: Always look for a reference. Reading books will help because you wanna learn to imagine things in your own perspective how for example: the way the narrator describes an alien ship. It makes you a unique artist because you think of ways that arent the same for other people. This will help you better understand the things that surrounded you and to use those things as an image for your own creativity.

After adding up all the time I spent daily on youtube, playing games, etc, I realized that instead I could have been creating art. Art is truly a time of peace and deep thought. So no matter what, make time for your craft.

I know this is really obvious and stuff, but it's very important to stay positive while you draw. Negativity can really effect your art.

When I was little I used to draw just lines and such, but sketching is much better. It's softer so you can erase better, and it looks better. TRY SKETCHING! :)
