digital porfolio

I'm sure some of you have thought of this already, but for those of you who haven't consider the following. This idea just occured to me the other day and I thought I would pass it along. As an artist, I tend to work large, 18x10 to 24x26, and dragging my work every where to show people is a pain. So recently I invested in a digital picture frame and uploaded a bunch of my best drawing to it. Now I have a portibal digital portfolio that I can easily carry around. Mine has to be pluged in, that's the only downside, but there are rechargable battery powered modles if you're willing to fork over the extra dough. ( sorry for the spelling mistakes, I am dislexic and there's no spellcheck on here.)

My favorite media

The Prismacolor line pens are my favorite for line drawing. My art is mostly cartooning, and when these pens are used on manga paper, the results are SUPER clean and the tips do things they wont do on a paper with a coarser tooth. Combine the two, and watch the drawings come out maybe the best they've ever been, at least they'll be the cleanest! You'll love the result!

Sfumato

Sfumato- is a technique were you use the shapes of shadows, cast & form, to define the person instead of lines. Try to not use any lines when you draw a person and make sure you only use one light source.

About the 90% cool grey problem you are having. Funny you should mention that. I usually use 70% with no problems, but just yesterday sharpened a 90% pencil I have had in my box for about a year. I also found it breaks very easily even when applying color very lightly

This isn't a tip... just a question

Im wondering if anyone is also having trouble with the Prisma color premiere pencil %90 cool grey PC1067 ??? I've been using these products for at least 6 years now, so I KNOW that the lead is extremely soft... BUT, it seems like this particular pencil is THE SOFTEST lead Ive ever experienced, and it never used to be like this until they changed the look of the pencil... I dunno, Ive gone thru about 5 in the last week, the lead breaks if I even touch it, just wondering if anyone has noticed or experienced the same problem, and this sucks because I use that shade ALOT

Artwork Uploads

Just a thought about uploading new artwork. I think that if you upload your work one piece at a time...never more than one a day, you will find that you will allow everyone to see them and comment on them individually.
