Blending

I noticed a lot of people are having a hard time with blending the colored pencils. I personaly have the soft core ones and I found out how to blend them. At first I used a lighter shade of the color I was trying to use to blend but that's has its problems. I use a tortillon now, its a tightly rolled sheet of paper, the inside of which is pushed out into a pencil point. this tool will let you make you piece look smoth with no paper coming through the image like most color pencils do. I suggest you watch a few youtube videos on the Tortillon before you just dive in. A lot of people think my drawings are paintings and that's because I use a Tortillon, it allows you to blen like you never thought possible with colored pencils.
