I just wanted to share my new website with my prismacolor friends and all else interested. http://www.seadragonstudios.com/. I got this website through foliotwist, which is really economical, and they help you alot. If anyone is interested in a website to share/sell their art, check them out. www.foliotwist.com. I am also on facebook, which is another great way to get your art out there. www.facebook.com/seadragonstudios. I hope you can stop by and 'like' my page.
I just want to wish all of the artists here a happy holiday season! May there be many masterpieces for each of you in 2012!
I was informed today by someone who is not an artist (a history teacher) that because I have no formal training in art, my art is just folk art. That everyone who has no formal training just does folk art. I have great admiration for artists with formal training and for artists who appreciate folk art, but is it correct to lump everyone who has no degree in art in the folk art category? I was kind of confused about this comment so I thought I could get some feedback from the other artists here about what you guys think about this generalization.
I am doing my first Art show in September and need to get prints of my work. It is mostly colored pencil done on white or off white 80-140 lb paper. I need advice on how to get the best quality prints and would appreciate some input. Thanks, Seadragon.

Thank you, sweety, for your comment on my 'Alfie & Slick'.
Thanks :D
Thank you for commenting on "janis" I appreciate it. I thought this expression typified her as a performer.
Thank you~!
No, Serafina does not belong to me, but to a friend of mine. She really is beautiful. Thanks for your comment.
Thank you so much for your comment on my crane.
Thank you so much :-) I think you'd like doing artcards I can't wait to see what you come up with for some :-D
Yes the 5" x 7"s can be very relaxing after working on larger pieces... You know I do the artcards too and they can actually become quite the challenge! This art competition was actually a miniture art show with no pieces bigger than 5" x 7" so that made it more interesting :-) I entered it last year too and recieved two honorable mentions, so it was really cool to win it this year :-D
That's how I price mine too! I want the person who buys my artwork to appreciate it the way that I do :-D
