For the first color stain, I begin with the lightest basic flesh tones. I choose to work in small circular motions allowing a painterly effect. Over this stain, I rework color near color in deeper shades. Following each layer of color, repeat the circling technique using a white colored pencil. This gives the appearance of an oil painting. To complete, use a paper towel or cotton ball and rub repeatedly. The wax of the colored pencil lifts thus removing the shine from the skin to leave a realistic, soft delicate look.
